Sasha followed her nose through the streets of Los Angeles. Her senses alive and having a hell of a time taking in the new smells of a new city. She wasn't entirely sure where she was at or where she was going but the main thing that keep her feet moving was the smell of pizza. It didn't smell like any she could remember but she betted it would delicious.
She kept her shields held tightly in place since she wasn't trying to announce her arrival but if there were any nearby lycanthopes of any flavor they would already know she was here. It really was to bad she couldn't stay off the radar for any longer. Undoubtedly this would mean she soon be getting visitors, some of them being lions and others not. No matter what came her way she would handle it efficiently.
Finally the smell she had been following ended with her standing in front of a pizzeria that was pretty busy even at such a late hour. Sasha stepped through the doors and went to stand in line so she could place her order. There were a few people of interest but if they didn't bother her she would let them alone as well.

The lion scene in Lalaland was sparse as usual and it allowed Aminta to make her way as she pleased. The typical bully boy male dominated environment was as usual surprisingly lax. It made her getting around so much easier and this last job even sweeter. Top of the line security her ass she thought as she dropped the haul at the designated point. She made her way to the meet to wait on the payment to hit her account.
Walking into the place she expected to have the place to herself as they while good were more of a takeout establishment. She chuckled as she spotted the blonde watching the place as she were going to stick it up. The feel of her was definitely lion which made the stick-up greatly possible and entirely probable. She wasn’t a face she had seen before which meant normally they’d step outside and see who was whom and who had the right of way. Aminta hoped to avoid that as she’d just had her hoodie repaired form her last run in with a newly met lion.
Smiling she nodded by way of greeting she made her way to the counter ordering a large fry and a steak sandwich. She settled on a coke as they didn’t have Pepsi products. She knew it would have been rude to not introduce herself so she made her way to the blonde’s table. Once she closed to within a few feet she cursed her luck. The sheer wattage that was leaking from behind the woman’s shields said more than Aminta wanted to hear. Smoothing out her hoodie and running her hand through her hair she slipped her hair scrunchy from her wrist binding her hair up in a quick ponytail before sitting. They were around non-infecteds ie squishy so she hoped the show of her neck was offer enough considering their places.
“Heya boss lady mind if share your space?” as she spoke Aminta inclined her head some towards the woman differing to her as alpha even as she kept her eyes from rising above the other woman’s chin.

Sasha had chosen a table while she waited for her food, her back to the wall so she could watch everything and everyone coming or going. She had pulled out her phone to help pass the time until her order was ready but her fingers stilled over its surface when she felt the presence of another lion, or rather lioness like herself. She looked up slowly searching and spotting the stranger. She inclined her head only slightly in response to the women's initial greeting. She watched as she went to the counter and ordered and then waited to see if she would come over and introduce herself. It was after all the smart and only real decision she could make unless of course she would rather fight.
Putting her phone back in her pocket Sasha eyed the other lion approaching. She wasn't quite sure what to make of her but her show of submission worked rather well for the setting. It meant she knew the ways of the pride. Had they been in private she would have demanded more from her but for now all was well. "Your welcome to join me, what's your name? And how long you been in town?"

Aminta kept form groaning as it was the same song and dance different tune as always. She really didn’t want any trouble or even to offend but as a roamer she had to do the equivalent of name, rank and serial number more than three to four times a month. At least they were in public so she didn’t have to eat too much crow in the process. The pride in Las Vegas made all visitors come to them literally naked to prove they meant no harm. She didn’t mind being jaybird newborn naked it was being told she had to be that annoyed her. "Thank you; Aminta and only a few days I was hoping to get in and out without ruffling any feathers. I’m heading back east I have a place in New Orleans I call home mostly. I really didn’t mean to overstay my welcome or get in anyones way. Most of the time I’m out here it’s pretty low key as long as I stay away from the San Diego pride they are super territorial.
If this Regina level lioness was the new sheriff in town she would have to rethink her MO while on the west coast. Last thing she needed was a pissed off Regina on her heels. She was hard to find but no one was invisible. Showing her palms to add emphasis to her no trouble statement she went on. “I didn’t know that lalaland had a Pride if I did I would have either asked permission or rethought my visit really and honestly.”

Sasha's mouth twitched as she tried not to smile or laugh at the way Aminta described the pride in San Diego. Not that she had any direct dealings with them but she had heard rumors. "Before I arrived here there was no pride as I'm sure you probably knew. But you can't be faulted based on the fact that barely anybody knows I'm here. That little tidbit will be rectified shortly." Before anything else was said on her part her order arrived. She had chosen a small meat lovers pizza for herself and water. Picking up a slice she ate it rather quickly then wiped her fingers on a napkin.
She did have to agree with her assessment of the area though, it was rather low key most of the time. "Well Aminta I'm not going to rush you out of town. You can stay for as long as you like just so long as you don't cause to much trouble. However when you do leave if you could let me know that would be great." She finally smiled at the other lioness and held out her hand having decided to actually introduce herself. "My name is Sasha and welcome to Hollywood." Turning her attention back to other things she continued "if you do decide to come back through just send me a text, your welcome to stop by any time you like." She was trying her best to be friendly hoping everything she had said came out the way she wanted it to and not the way she tended to come across. Besides Aminta seemed like a nice girl and she didn't want to scare her off. It was rather lonely being the only lion in town.

The reports that Nicholas had received were that a Regina level female lion was floating around the city for a few weeks. and that she seemed to be wanting to stay, although most of the pride was from San Diego, if she was planning to stay perhaps Nicholas would bother to take a look. He was not going to place the Master of the City card, but perhaps he would just scout her subtlety. normally he relayed information through agents and information brokers, but in case he could play a more low key role It would be great luck if she had no sense of who he was. It would allow him to take her measure that much faster.
Pulling up he stepped out of the car to at a pizzeria, he often wondered what a pizza would taste like, at the time of his death he lived in an area that did not know pizza, it looked interesting enough, maybe one day he will taste he would put forth enough want to find a way to taste it. He had gotten a call saying she was here alone, now was about a good of a time as any to approach her and perhaps have a chat. Walking into the place he was more or less surprised to see her and another lion of lesser strength, that presented a bit of a problem, he needed to get a feel for her but it would be more complex with another being there. Well very few things happen exactly as planned he prided himself on flexibility. Walking over to their table he smiled a harmless smile.
"Hello ladies. I hope I was not interrupting? My name is Nicholas and I wanted to extend a hello. "
Nicholas figured that would come across about as friendly as he could possible be. if she was to stay he would need to be more forthright and communicate with any clan heads that were to take the mantle of leaders.

Aminta’s mouth watered at the pizza Sasha ordered. She smelled the seasonigs and mild spices they used she looked towards the counter for her order. Looking back she said, "Sasha, that’s great news. Usually there’s a whole pomp and drama to meeting any other lions of standing. Personal power seems to be particularly problematic for men." Cocking her head as her order came a few moment later. She clapped her hands quietly at the meal. “Yay, eats.”
Taking a bite she began again. "I am so glad to hear that I do a lot of traveling for my jobs. I’m down to New Orleans ad Miami usually about two or three weeks out of the month but I tend to always come back this way for one thing or another. The San Diego Pride can be rough so I stay clear they think anyone not part of their pride is meat. " She shuddered at the thought of her last run-in. She was pising blood for a few days. If she’d been noninfected she would have died. Luckily she’d gotten good at knowing when to haul ass and when to duck and cover. Starting to speak she opened and closed her mouth. As a master tracker she smelled the tangy coppery scent of a vampire before she noticed the slice of darkness moving towards them. His introduction had her do a spit take. He was talked about though under a different name. In fact the San Diegans she’d run across said they were mapping out his empire so not to run afoul of him before they meant to. Mister February the coldest of the cold and not someone to trifle with. "Hi." Aminta said trying to rack her mind for anything she might have done that could come to anyone’s notice. She immediately thought of the security back door she’d planted in Banco’s network months ago. It was the most recent but not even the worst thing she’d done.

Sasha shook her head slightly at Aminta and her apparent glee over her food. I have only heard rumors about San Diego as I have never had any direct contact with them. I came from Texas and this is just the city I decided to settle in and begin my own little haven." Picking up two more pieces of pizza she ate them in quick succession practically inhaling her food. She was hungrier then she had first thought and was considering ordering another but not just yet.
Licking her lips she set her elbows on the table and looked at the lion across from her. "If you don't mind me asking what kind of work do you do? Especially when it requires you to constantly travel. I myself have traveled only occasionally and I must say that I much prefer to sit in one spot." Sasha's eyes looked to the door when she felt the coldness of the grave waft through the door and she frowned slightly as the vampire approached her table. He greeted them both rather warmly but his name didn't ring any bells for her.
Sasha looked him up and down not quite sure what to think, he didn't seem very old but then what did she really know of vampires. She hadn't dealt much with them but she guessed that was about to change. "Hello Nicholas, care to join us? Are you here on official business or did you just decide to drop by?" She felt it was best to be direct with him no matter what rank he held if he had one at all.

Nicholas looked at the two lionesses, the innocent smile had held only the briefest glimpse of who he was. taking a heartbeat's worth of time he glanced at both of their auras, he could tell who was more powerful, but the other was more nervous. That was something Nicholas filed away for later contemplation.
"I would be delighted. Thank You."
He again flashed a smile of schooled innocence. He measured their strength, however that rarely if ever told the story. Brute strength and the willingness to use it was only one piece of the puzzle. grabbing a spare chair he sat at the table's edge. not close enough to either, Nicholas did not have any preference at least not yet.
"As to my business here, I would have to say it was a bit of both."
Nicholas looked between the two women. The Regina shown no knowledge of who he was, that was great as that meant that they could have began on equal terms. As she did not know him and he had no knowledge of her they could get to know each other without any predetermined roles being unconsciously assigned.
"I have heard reports of a lion who was actually living in this city and hopefully this lion could provide an injection of much needed life into an otherwise stale expanse."
Turning his attention to the other lion. the flicker of recognition lived in the windows of her soul. Did she cross his path before. He would have to say she did not look familiar, so perhaps she was in the know as far as the city's landscape was concerned. Nicholas returned to facing neither in particular. He raised his clasped hands to his chin an rested he face on his thumbs. thinking how to phrase his next thought.
"Would it be possible for me to get to know the names of those who invited me to their table to share their time while they dine?"

Aminta swallowed her mouthful not too happy with the appearance of the master of the city. He was being polite so she waited for the other shoe to drop. She could lie but that was a sure mistake especially as she didn’t know which if any of her aliases he knew. “They’re not too friendly Vanderbilt runs the pride their like a business he calls himself the Rex of south Cali or something else stupid. His Pride believes him." Looking from her Regina to the Master of city she answered the Regina first. If she didn’t it would definitely be a sign of disrespect that she ad no illusions would be very costly later.
"I uh work in securities. Freelance mostly so it’s a living, ya know." Making sure she didn’t give off any sign of her discomfort she took another bite. Chewing little too quickly she swallowed dabbing her mouth corners.
"I’m Aminta," She not wanting to get between whatever was getting ready to go down. She hadn’t realized that the Regina was as new as she hadn’t spoken with the Master. That made her actions technically legal as far as that sort of thing went. Legal of course was a loose term in her world. Legal as far the preternatural community was not legal as far as the real world but then again there were still states that had varmint laws on the books. Texas being one of them, sadly the saying of ‘Don’t Mess with Texas’ had a whole new connotation for preternaturals.

Sasha tilted her head a little curiosity obvious on her face while she stared at Nicholas. "You heard reports.. huh well did you ever get a name for this lion that has been staying here?" She was pretty sure he was referring to her but what she was specifically wanted to know was whether or not he had a name for this lion but she would just have to wait and see if in some way he recognized her name when she told him.
Aminta seemed to hesitate over her words acting slightly nervous but Sasha had no clue what would be causing her to act that way. Ignoring her for now other then nodding her head she looked around the building. She was pretty sure at this point nobody else would be joining them which was a good thing considering the vampire was one person to many but it would probably make him angry to say so she kept her mouth shut.
Before turning her gave back to Nicholas she looked over at Aminta giving her the barest of touches with her own lion hoping to calm her. Keeping her pride happy and calm was a job that she was going to have to get used to even for the ones that weren't staying long. Smiling at her she spoke to the vampire. "So what you're saying is that it is boring around here? And if you must know my name is Sasha Riese and no its not spelled like that actress whose name I can't think of." Picking up her drink she took a sip of it and then set it back down.

"Actually it is very..." Nicholas paused for a second the time was to lend weight to the phrase that he had chose. "Peaceful." Nicholas gave a satisfied grin at that thought. it had been years since anyone or anything came near Los Angeles, and even more time since anyone was crazy enough to challenge his authority. Even the lycanthropes had given Nicholas a wide berth because those that encroached were punished severely, however the downside was that it was mostly a barren area that had all the appeal of a wasteland because of it. Nicholas needed to restock the populous if the city was going to thrive. Sadly he knew that he could not rule and be independently and last.
"The reports that I peruse, I choose to regard only the specifics the items that can not be changed, I would rather the person in question to fill in the blanks and I compare notes and draw my own conclusions after the meeting. The file has some information that requires a assumption but mostly it is information that is immutable. "
Nicholas passed a quick glance over to the other lion as he said the last. then refocused his attention on Sasha. Nicholas knew her name, however the little lion he did not know she was in attendance. however he knew from the glances that something was being passed back and forth he just did not know what. a look here a touch of energy there, something was happening but he just did not know enough about lycanthropes to draw any conclusions.
"Many of the actors in the city are of the Arcadian variety. as such I do not spend tremendous amounts of time round them. " Nicholas looked at the Regina then back to the other lion, he could feel her easing for whatever reason. the energy was some sort of calming agent it was fascinating how they interaction without words. looking back to the Regina.
"Hopefully you did not come in hopes of plying the trade as a thespian? that would require you to get to know many of the Arcadians."

Aminta accepted the offer of protection and the calm wafting from Sasha with genuine warmth. She hadn’t realized that she had been as obvious as it seemed. She smiled at Sasha in thanks. Nicholas was doing his best to be polite but she was always taught to beware Vampires being too nice. Especially those in power. Those being polite or nice were like a rattlesnake shaking its tail. It was their growl and was always followed by a strike of one sort or another. As they fought with words she hoped that would be all this was a warning to be on their best behaviors. She knew that she would be out of his potential hair sooner than later. She wouldn’t stick around especially if he was already looking into them. She didn’t want to leave Sasha alone with this vampire but she had a lot of things to do.
Who was she kidding she didn’t have anything to do that couldn’t be put off as long as she needed. She’d never liked scrutiny. And that’s what it seemed as if the Vampire was doing. He was appraising their usefulness to him. He was sizing them up for either uniforms in his personal army or coffins. Strangely enough the uniform idea was by far the scariest.
“No I don’t act; I am not in the film business.”

Sasha shrugged lightly at his words, what he would call peaceful others like herself would call boring. That could have something to do with her being much younger than him but it didn't matter. "If you say so, I think peaceful equals boring. Which is pretty much the way it has been the entire time I've been in town." She could hear her voice taking on a slightly harder tone from what she had been using. She would have thought with this being the town it was it would have had plenty of activity but she had been wrong but she had no clue who to blame for that fact, or even if there was a party to blame.
She had hoped to hold off on any real talks especially in front of an audience but in the end it was probably best. "Look Nicholas I don't know what you think you're going to glean from this visit but if we are going to be honest with one another I wont play your games. I don't give a damn if you are the master of this city, which I'm beginning to suspect. I will not be your pawn for anything, of that you can be sure." Sasha pushed her plate away from her no longer hungry. She wasn't angry even though it had probably sounded that way but she had been stating facts making sure he understood her position.
Reigning herself back in she smiled pleasantly at the vampire and shook her head side to side. "No I am not an actress that kind of life never interested me. Instead I chose to be an artist, I know there isn't always money to be made doing what I do but it makes me happy and to me that is what counts." And if what he said was true of there being many Arcadians in the area she was glad to not be in to close of quarters with them.

Without the heat of true emotion it as if she was acting in a poor choreographed drama. If left Nicholas wishing for the heat of pure rage, he contemplated the many ways he had gotten rid of those that were unworthy. Nicholas smile was nonplus as he was. Nicholas saw an opportunity to meet the possible new lion and see what she was about. While the outburst was unexpected, the lack of any passion was more disappointing than upsetting. If she was this fragile that she would have an outburst than the Arcadians will destroy within weeks. Her power was somewhat impressive but without being able to interact with the other clans and unite against the true enemy she would not last, and it would be more of a kindness to send her away before the Arcadians used her as the pawn that she thought Nicholas was molding her to be. Nicholas face for the first time turned very serious.
"I have to admit you have me at a disadvantage, It is peaceful because of the many lycanthropes that were unfortunately put to death because of the many public battles that happened in this city a few short years ago. However if this burgs, quiet nature does not fit your needs I am sure Vanderbilt would be able to help you find the excitement that you crave and he is quietly replenishing his ranks since his last attempt at taking over this quiet burg . I am sure you missed the unfortunate stories that was in the media two years ago."
Nicholas took a second to reassess This new lion. her leaps of logic he was not really sure where the information was coming from.
"Sasha the games that you believe are being played have not even began to be played. I have not spoken nothing but the golden words of the truth. You have not asked any questions of me, as such no information was hidden, just not mentioned. I have not revealed the capacity that I serve this city because no one asked, as well as this not being an official visit. It being unofficial because any Leader would be vetted by the Master of the City or their agents or the members of the preternatural community before they are able to set roots. This is required upon said Lycanthrope entering the city. to make sure that said lycanthrope does not destabilize the...peacefulness of city. Such as what is happening in the other cities. This practice has been done for centuries. As such we need to look no farther that your colleague Aminta, I am positive upon entering this territory for the first time she had to make herself available to you As the Regina if she had done something that would have reflected poorly upon the lions in L.A and did not even introduce herself to you I am sure the consequences would have been dire. "
Nicholas allowed his face to fall back into normal unreadable lines. He wanted to make sure that Sasha completely understood his position as while she is a Regina level lion no city exist in a vacuum and the needs of the City would trump her wants. As practice If any high level preternatural was to enter the city they would be vetted. this is doubly true if the preternatural in question did not do their homework and introduce themselves to the ruling body. This is true in L.A, N.O, Chicago, NY as well as Hawaii. This was done to keep the others of the preternatural community safe. and if she felt that she did not need to be vetted then she should go to a city without a preternatural community.
Nicholas leaned back in his seat as relaxed as he normally portrayed himself. now that the air was no longer clouded by uncertainty. he could return to the business as hand. While the outburst lacked passion, he would merely jot that down as a footnote, something to be thought about at a later time. He did wonder if she had come to the attention of the Arcadians yet, or was she being ignored on purpose. Once they did employ lycanthropes as double agents to bring down other groups. committing petty crime to wholesale murder, and it was captured on tape. Thinking about those days left Nicholas a but raw, but he brought himself back to the here and now.
"It is good that you do not act as previously mentioned. The Arcadians control that aspect of the city, as well as much of the media. It is unfortunate as many of the stories that are released generally paint the preternatural community in a poor light which unfortunately caused a.. purge to take place leaving this once thriving city...peaceful. "
