Character Concept/History: Kai's mother came to LA to become a star and quickly found work as an extra then, one day when the leading lady stormed off set before the first shot the director seeing her body figured she'd fill the costumes out nicely. He was right and they begain and affair that lead to a marriage and many more starring roles. It was during one shoot as she lay on the beach for one of her scenes that a sidhe male posing as a surfer spotted her and decided he must have her. Wooing her with gifts and overtures the young ingenue cheated on her then husband and became elf struck. Feeling horrible for what he had done the male tried his best to break the spell even going so far as to fake death in hopes it would make her let him go and return to her former life. She was heart broken but not long after finding her self pregnant with Kai, she wold go to the beach where they had met and talk to the waves hoping some how where ever he was he'd hear her. He had and when the birth was close he talked a friend into stealing her away to the mound, so he could be part of the birth of his child. When Kai entered the world he fell in love with him but knew he'd never be safe at the court and sent them both away wiping her memory of having ever been at the mound. Kai grew up resentful and brooding but drawn to the ocean, he learned to surf and as he grew more handsome his mother threw her self into landing him roles on tv and in movies having given up her career long ago. Realizing he was diffrent and finally when the sidhe showed themselves to america he was told by his mother about the man she had never known the true name of.
